New Pavilion Building and New Car Parking

New Pavilion

A new pavilion building is proposed to the north-east of the palace, adjacent to the new access point. This single storey building will play host to events and activities, provide office space and various other functions. Clad in timber, reminiscent of existing ancillary buildings on the Estate and the original pavilion building, hooded mouldings over openings will draw inspiration from similar details at the palace. This proposal replaces a previous cricket pavilion which was situated on the site but had reached the end of its life. The new building will be approximately 0.018ha in size and look similar to the images shown.

Car Parking

A new car park with 282 parking spaces including 21 accessible spaces is proposed and electric car charging points. This will be accessed directly via the improved access for visitors from the newly constructed CTLR. The proposed car park site plan shows that a link to the active travel route associated with the CTLR is proposed. Please note, the link shown is indicative only. The plan also shows a new bike shelter to the north of the car park.
